SNA is an acronym for Satnam Anami which means: True God is Beyond Names. This adage reminds the seeker that it is futile to ascribe a specific name and appearance to God and then believe that and only that to be the correct representation and all others to be incorrect. God is beyond names and shapes and colours. Therefore, it behooves the seeker to rise above and look beyond the boundaries, classes and categories that have been created in the name of God which serve to divide and not unite God's creation.

The path to God is through love and mercy and not through fierce defence of a dogma. This is exactly what all the saints in whose names divisions have been constructed have sought to communicate. This is what the Satnam Anami faith strives to bring the seekers back to.

SNA Canada is the Canadian chapter of Satnam Anami which originated in India two centuries ago. Satnam Anami considers all human-beings equal and does not discriminate on the basis of religion, race, colour, ethnicity, gender, wealth, or orientation.
